As near as we can tell, there are only 5 or 6 pro builders who have lasted more than a couple of years. There are a few who occasionally try for a year or two and quit. Of all of us, there are only 1 or 2 who do motorcycles. 6 of Dennis' 24 national championships have been in cycles.

Motorcycle kits are a little limited, usually to racing bikes that are popular in Japan. The best kits are the 1/12th scale from Tame. Protar makes a number of important GP bikes from the 50’s and 60’s in the 1/9th scale, but the quality of the kit is somewhat less than those of Tamiya. Riders are available in several poses that can make an interesting presentation but it is a trade off against being able to remove the fairings and seeing the engine details.

Motorcycle prices range from $400.00 to $600.00 again depending on the availability of the kit and the complexity of the paint scheme as well as the amount of detail requested.
