Marsh Models
was formed in 1981 by John and
Pam Simons as an antidote to
redundancy.
Initially, they built models for
Abingdon Classics and major UK
model outlets but decided to
start their own range of models
in 1984. At the time, there
seemed to be a gap in the market
for sports racing cars of the
1960's so our first release was
the legendary Chaparral 2F. This
was followed by models of other
important Le Mans cars.

The first step into an untried
area was the model of the
McLaren M6A. Models of cars of
the CanAm era were virtually
unknown at this time but the
success of the M6A meant that
other CanAm models followed and
now Marsh Models is considered
the leader in this field. They
introduced many innovative
design features such as black
resin tyres, photoetched
interiors and recently
photoetched wings with aerofoil
sections.
